Review Policy

My review style is generally a very chatty, informal blog post discussing why I did or did not like a book (although any books that were not my favourite I try not to be too dismissive of and be constructive in my criticism as I am still aware of the level of work that goes into writing a book). I always mention what I think of the writing itself, the characters, the pace, the cover, etc.

As an English Literature and Creative Writing student, it always brings me so much pleasure to think of a book in a critical manner too, which is why I enjoy writing book reviews so much!

I enjoy reading:

  • romance
  • contemporary
  • fantasy
  • young adult/new adult
  • women’s/adult fiction

I may be open to trying new things, depending on my workload and thoughts on how the book sounds.

If you would like me to review your book, please see my contact page.

My blog posts always get tweeted several times and added to Pinterest.

All of my reviews are 100% honest, whether I received them for review purposes or bought them with my own money. Review copies will not be accepted in exchange for a positive review.

Please also note that even if a review copy is sent to me, this does not guarantee that a review will be posted on my blog. This may be for reasons such as but not limited to: I don’t feel like it is a good fit for me or my blog after all; I don’t have very much to say about it and don’t think it will be an interesting post; or I simply didn’t have time to read it.I will discuss this with you, should this be the case.

Remember us book bloggers aren’t often making any/much money from our blogs and are doing it for just our love of books – we are very busy people outside of the blogging world trying to pay our bills! Please be respectful of this.

Thank you!
